It worked very good when you figure the cost. It is not perfect ! But much better than other we have tested costing a lot more. We have tested it with several firearms and it did the job . We had other try it also they all were asking where to get it. From the young to some older long time shooters the all like and figure the price point a great buy!

Initial impressions were excellent. Good mouldings and fairly sturdy. I suppose that having a plastics and manufacturing background, it's easy to be critical but when one takes into account the price and build, it is a reasonable bit of equipment. OK. here is the complaint. I've just added a Browning .22 Underlever and started the "sighting in" process. The length positioning of the rear rest resulted in having to sit the stock in the rubber and pulling it back to hit the pistol grip. This became a datum point. There was no way the stock would find a position where it naturally would sit and create a repeatable lateral and rotational position after sitting it back after a reload. Note that you cannot reload without lifting off the rifle. I'm at present fabricating a saddle that will be the exact width as the stock about 5" forward of the trigger. I've got a 177 Beeman springer and a Crosman 177 Vortex. It'll be interesting to see how my prototype works. CheersRead full review

I purchased the Matrix rest several weeks ago due to it's many features and modest price point. I was extremely disappointed after my first trip to the range. The forward cradle failed to remain in the upright position (after each shot) under the recoil of my 270 cal. Ruger rifle, despite how hard I tightened the locking mechanism. I suspect this to be the case with higher caliber firearms as well. Additionally, there are extremely sharp edges on the underside of this rest. Thus, probably due to the manufactures plastic extrusion process. I received a finger laceration as I was haphazardly carrying the rest back to my vehicle as both hands were full with multiple rifles and shooting bag. Lastly, I emailed Battenfeld Technologies through their website to express my concerns. To date, not even the courtesy of a response. In my opinion, this is a direct reflection of their commitment to quality assurance and poor customer satisfaction. There are some great Caldwell products on the market for shooters and hunters and I've owned a few. However, If I could make this purchase again, I wouldn't waist my hard earned dollar on the Matrix!Read full review
