In this pitiful shambles of a sex farce, Ms. McCarthy is Rebecca, a struggling photographer who goes bonkers on discovering her crude lug of a boyfriend, Richard (Victor Webster), in bed with another girl. Each of the blind dates with whom she hopes to make him jealous is more pathetic than the last. One vomits on her as she pulls him onto her chest at a fashion show. Another botches the party trick of yanking the tablecloth out from under a meal and empties a restaurant dinner on her lap. Rebecca's two sidekicks - Michelle (Carmen Electra), a body waxer who speaks in preschool ebonics and imagines she's black, and Carrie (Kam Heskin), a bimbo who confuses Woody Allen with Woody Harrelson - are of no help, either to Rebecca or to the movie. I loved this movie and have just purchased a Second Copy . You will Laugh your A$% Off :)Read full review
The film could have been a bit better, but some of the personal moments are very real. I actually enjoyed the bonus material better than the film. Where the direct talks about making the film. And in that sense, if you're studying film making or hoping to be a screenwriter, this is a good one to watch. It has all the right elements, but is a bit flat. I'd say it was poorly edited, it could have been a bit better, but the story bones are good. And I'm a fan of British films, so I liked it. Although there are mostly Americans in the cast. I think it is worth watching. MR
I bought this movie because I am a Marsha Thomason fan. The movie is a cute, slightly fluffy UK comedy about the the interactions between co-workers in a corner bistro. If you are looking for a cute DVD to watch with a couple of friends on a Thursday night, this might be a good pick. (Note:Mena Suvari's part appeared to have been written as a background, one-dimentional supporting role. Somehow, she manages to carry every scene she is in. Bravo Mena! The rest of the folks are good at what they do. There are a couple of unexpected plot twists that made me laugh. I can't reveal them...don't want to be a spoiler. ;) Blessings to all :) -j
I love how it shows how friendships at work develop into family like ties. The worst thing is there is alot of profanity, definately not for kids.... I caught this movie in the middle on showtime and loved it even after not seeing the beginning. looked on ebay to find it so I could see the first half and found it from one of my favorite sellars. Perfect condtion..I've watched it 3 times and now gave it to some friend at work to watch.
In this movie we can see Mena Suvari have a real caracter better then her others movies maybe now she will be able to acting more and in better movies. In this movie she was very well use and i like her more now.
