I got this DVD because I enjoyed Giselle's "Daisy Fuentes Workout." The moves in this DVD, however, are boring in the beginning and I lose interest quickly. There is one part, the Samba part, that can really get my heart rate up, but other than that I have to really throw myself into it to get somewhat of a workout. I always want to skip the boring mambo parts because it's just moving side to side and doing annoying hand flicks. All in all, it'll get the job done if you try hard enough and don't get bored with the beginning. On the plus side, I did lose 3 pounds only a week after doing this DVD and another pilates DVD twice a week each (for 1 week). I also ate healthier, though, so that could be it too. One more thing, Giselle was EXTREMELY perky in this video. It can be a bit overwhelming the first time you watch it (then I got used to it and now I even think it's cute). All in all, it's not a waste, and I probably will do this workout again, but I find myself picking other DVDs first because I hate some of these moves. The second part of the DVD is better. Here are the sections: 1) Introduction 2) Warm up 3) Salsa combination 4) Merengue combination 5) Merengue salsa 6) Samba 7) Latin funk combination 8) Cool downRead full review
I liked the music and the fast aerobic pace of the workout. The moves were fun and interesting. It would have helped if the instructor had broken down the hip movements. The camera work is annoying and distracting. I have a huge collection of workout videos and one thing holds true among them: the more useful videos are the ones where the camera just stays in one place and films. when the camera jumps around to different angles it makes it hard for the viewer to follow the instructor. Unfortunately this is true of this video, too. Fortunately this jumping around is not as bad as it is in other videos.
This is a fun way to loose weight, but did not go through the steps. Was a little too fast for me, a person that has never taken a dance class. This DVD had a lot of complicated choreography for me. It would not have been so hard if each step was explained before each new move. I have purchased a lot of DVDs in the past couple months and this was the only one that did not go through each move before starting the workout. I guess if you watch it a couple times you can catch on. I myself played it once and have not tried it again. I prefer the Firm and Belly Dance DVDs.
I looked this DVD very fast. I did not try . I like music. I like instructor. Much energy. I bought different DVD with ballet but I like this better. Why I gave only Good not exellent.. because I like to see just one person on TV. I cannot concentrate my mind if I see many people. Instead to make exercise I try to look everybody on TV skreen. I recomend. Low price. And you do not need to buy expensive DVD with SUMBA! This is enoufh and SUMBA repeat all this program!
Great music, clear, easy cuing! Not one weak spit!
