About this product

Product Information

A world of mystery and murder awaits your sleuthing skills in Crime Stories. Play as Martin Mystére, an internationally known detective who is called in after Massachusetts Institute of Technology researcher Professor Eulemberg is found murdered. Based on comic books by Alfredo Castelli, and featuring 15 hours of game play, you will guide Mystére from the streets of New York to ancient Mayan ruins where the professor's assistant is studying the Aztecs. Enlisting the help of friends Diana and Java, Mystére will need to collect items, and determine how they relate to the homicide. Searching for clues to solve the crime, Mystére will interview numerous characters and obtain many items before coming to realize that the professor was on the trail of a source for eternal youth, before his research was stopped by a cold-blooded killer.

  • just plain bad and unoriginal

I've been playing adventure games for years; I'm definitely patient with older technology. But this game stretched my patience beyond endurance. The storyline is ridiculous and the problems you have to solve are annoying and tedious--not at all engaging or thought-provoking. Dialogue is a mess--poor scripting, bad translation, generally awful voiceover work (except Erika), and bizarre presentation. Dialog is broken into pieces (even within sentences) and then is recorded in those pieces. Resulting in. Stilted dialogue that. Grates. A seemingly endless monologue in the middle of the game had me clawing the walls; around that time I realized that this game was too painful to play. Adventure gaming should not be a test of your tolerance of poor storylines and bad presentation. Please, love ...

  • Decent Game

This game is fairly decent. The plot itself leaves something to be desired. Some of the tasks are kind of off the wall, but in general it's pretty cool. It reminds me of the old PC games, but does have today's graphics. I did not have any trouble with video or the sound being choppy. However, the commands are somewhat trying. I would say overall this game rates a 4 out of 5.

  • lcrime stories

before purchase sent msg if worked on windows o/s vista, replay stated it did however upon receipt the box plainly states vista is not included in the o/s listed. I love all crime investigation games and will continue to purchase

  • Good!

Check out the Super Detail backgrounds truly Cinematic. the plot is good and the characters are great the enthusiasm is lacking from some of the voice overs but I can live with that, this brings back the good ole days of PC gaming with technology and graphics from today.

  • Ho Hum, Just your average PC Game.

Not what I expected, the graphics are a bit choppy. I thought I would by this game because of reviews on another site. Sorry but they were wrong. There is nothing that drags you in, its a cartoon, not how it was portrayed in reviews. I recomend it if you like cartoons.
