I use my Craftsman ratchet for wrenching on my old Audi and Suburban. I like this ratchet over the other ones in my tool box first because the head is slim and it fits into tighter spots than my other ratchets. Also, the direction control is very positive when you need to adjust the ratchet's position or change from disassembly to assembly. This replaces a couple of older Craftsman 1/4" drive ratchets that had become unreliable, and a Kobalt brand that was fine, but a little flakey on the direction control. The finish on the new Craftsman ratchet is shinier than on the old style, but I like it. I've not had any problems gripping the new one.

If you do not want to spend the cash on pricier brands of ratchets, Craftsman is a solid option. This ratchet performs well and is a excellent choice that will not break the bank.

rReplacement for a ratchet I lost - I especially like the quick release button! Had my first one forever and would still be using it today if I had not lost it. The new ratchet is just as nice and should be the last one I will ever need.
