The Outer South CD is very different Album from all of Conor Oberst A.K.A Bright Eyes previous work. The whole album is on a league of its own! I cant compare it to any other album. I really like 4 traks on the Album: it focus on Bible History, Big Black, New York City and Anything She Wants To Do. I really like thouse tracks. All the other tracks are Hard CORE SOUTH MUSIC which are Great but just different from everything that am use to. Keep on open mind I Still Highly Recommend This Album. Its Still A Must Have For All fans of Conor Oberst, Bright Eyes and Monsters Of Folk!
Band leader Conor Oberst is quite a lyricist as he has proven repeatedly over the years with his previous recordings. There is no let down with his material on Outer South. This CD has a lot more songs than normal releases do so you are getting more than your money's worth of excellent music. Other members of this band also contribute songs and lead vocals. These guys are no slouches either. Read the article about Oberst in the new issue of Rolling Stone for a lot more insight about this release. Oberst in certainly an interesting character which is reflected in this music.
