I bought Como Agua Para Chocolate and Like Water for Chocolate for a Spanish composition class in which we chose a novel and wrote a composition about a month ago. I loved everthing about this book. I liked the fact that it is told in monthly segments with an old Mexican recipe to accompany it. As the story is told throuought each month, the recipes are being prepared from start to finish and as a reader you can see how each recipe is incorporated in each chapter. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an interesting novel with love, suspense, and passion. Regardless of the language both are excellent novels. Both are easy reads especially the Spanish for someone who is just coming into reading novels. I didn't find this novel to be particularly long at about 250 pages which can be read quickly.Read full review
