This lens was exactly what I needed as a complement to my more expensive, heavier, and more specific lenses. The 28-90 range makes it very versatile, the light weight makes it easy to carry and use, and the image quality is good enough for many of the things I shoot.

Considering the price it's a great bargain. Lens focuses fairly fast and the range 28mm-90mm is very practical. Decent to use all around even in studio (fashion photography)it lets you capture from full lengh to head shot in a blink of an eye, your limit is your own speed. Down side:It is more of a mid-range resolution lens. High light to shadow ratio not impressive.
excellect clear very sharp image quality

Reasonably good lens, with good range on APS-C body. Not a very good lens for low light situations. I'm mostly using it on a second body as a backup. It focuses fast and accurately. All in all, a good basic lens. Not a Ferrari, and not a Mack truck, but somewhere in between.
The construction feels cheap. It is a cheap lens. But for the money it is ok. Very slow (f4 maximum aperture). But the focus was acceptable at most f and throughout the zoom range. The focus motor is not too loud... Buy it if you are on a budget, but if you can afford it, skip this lens, and get a better one with a metal ring at least.
