I have been using a device that I pay $49.00 a year for the last 9 years. I have now stopped using it and will be saving that money to buy batteries which is way cheaper. Since I have went to the V2 Rangefinder, my game has improved. Now Im hitting My approach shots very close and learning exactly what length of each iron/Hybrid will go. I have been playing for 59 years and Im still a single digit Golfer. I have dropped my Handicap 2 strokes so far. Best Rangefinder on the market.

This case was way too big for my rangefinder model and I wanted a clasp to hook it on my golf bag. This one has a belt strap to put around my waist. I rushed my order and it was my mistake for not checking out the measurements of the case. Not worth sending back when I have to pay shipping and restocking charge. I'll use duct tape on my old case.

This thing is awesome. I had a Skycaddie until they shut it off because I refused to pay them to just use it. I thought once you paid to download the courses you want, you were done, unless you wanted to change them...wrong! So, if you don't want to pay $300 and then pay to use it, buy one of these. Yes, you need line of sight for the pin seeking, but you can hold the mode button down and scan anything you want. This is perfect when you miss a fairway and end up in another fairway. Just pick a layup spot and scan the ground or a bunker or a tree. It will get you back in play if you hit the shot. Also, the Skycaddie was off buy at least 10 yards and this thing is dead on to about +- 1 yd. The Skycaddie would not work on cloudy days either and you would have to reset the GPS all the time. I hate to cut them down but I owned it for 4 years and know what I am talking about. So, yes I love this and it does just what I or you will need it to do. One last note- buy the Lithium battery for it and it will last the whole season... because it shuts off on it's own.Read full review
I needed a better way to judge my distance from the pin, as I was not very good at it by looking. The Bushnell Tour V2 is easy to carry, easy to use. I just look through the 5x scope and press the button on top. A little circle around the flagstick tells me I got it. It will also tell distance to sand traps, creek banks, and trees. I was hitting more greens the first time I used it. At the driving range you can never tell how far away the targets are, but now I can.
For several years I've relied on my phone gps app, but decided to get a rangefinder mostly for wedge practice at the driving range.bi wanted to use it for establishing my half, three quarter and full wedge distances. But I tried this rangefinder and was favorably impressed at how quickly and easily I could get pin distances. More importantly, my average putts per hole improved because I'm getting significantly more approach shots to within makable birdie range. I'm very pleased with this unit.
