major con is that there is no QR tripod adaptor mount for picatinny rail anywhere in the market or for compact table size ball head tripods such as you would use for digital cameras. Just 3 days later and very light use in dry summer weather mico black specks are in the the view and are most obvious and concentrated around the range gauge graph. Do not go go for this model with this feature and unit will be fine. I have seen this complaint before and remember : warranty is a Limited Warranty not a no problem lifetime type.

I have owned six or more monoculars. I have selected them for just one use, quick target checks out to 100’. I have found that 10x is a nice balance between minimum magnification and induced wobble of a greater magnified image. These are bright and sharp. One adjustment drum focus wheel above eyepiece, no diopter necessary. A 10x42 gives a 4.2 Ratio, well within Industry acceptable magnification to objective diameter recommendations. I am done buying monoculars, this is the one. There are two models offered, this one with a range finding reticle, the other does not. This fancier one was cheaper, so why not? If you want to protect the front element, I canibalized a 52mm UV filter (a Demel tool carefully snipping away the ring), it drops in clean and is held in place by the included flip-up lens cover. See the image. The Picatinny 1913 rail seems foolish except for mounting a vertical fore grip repurposed. It helps with stability and add a 550 cord neck lanyard to avoid testing its shock resistance. A good glass priced reasonably. Buy it.Read full review

We are very excited about upgrading to the Bushnell monocular. It has a nice wide field of view and the magnification is better than our binoculars. Easy to carry, super easy to use, able to focus close and far distant. I like that we can pass it back and forth and easily adjust between my nearsightedness and my hubbies far sight.

Really great quality, excellent picture. This is a tank! Just a large monocular beware if you have smaller hands. The lens cap is great, the one on the eyepiece tends to slip off easier.

The Bushnell Monocular is great, it is strongly well constructed, the lens are really good, it can be hold for quite a while in your hand For me the only downside is mil hash reticule, which is the black model does not have, I bought the monocular for bird watching and take pictures with it.
