As a former Home Depot Corporate Office Associate, Everyone thinking of starting a new business should read this and learn how to treat and respect people who work for you and how it comes back to you 10 fold in their loyalty and performance! Love the Book, Love Bernie and Arthur! Had the privilege to work with each of them. Nothing but class acts! I owe them for everything I have! Happy to know I made a difference by working for them. It is a great read! Lost my copy in a move so I had to replace it!
I enjoyed reading about the beginning of the company. This book provides an eye opening look at customer service and the extensive steps which can be taken to create customers for life. I disliked the introduction only because I was unsure which founder was speaking in first person. The information was great, but the book switched back and forth between each person without an introduction or a heading. I purchased the book because of the recent CEO change at Home Depot. The new CEO found it important to read and I wanted to know why.
This book is mediocre but has some positive notes to accomplish success in main stream. Actual in store associates have lost the value notes.
