Poor design as related to exposure to water and sunlight. Two haves sealed by thin strip of glue not by O-ring. Cheap switches exposed to elements. Exposure to salt water? forget it; electronics not potted will corrode in no time. Cheap acrylic plastic will yellow in no time. Four LED's not eight. Does not last more than four hours after dusk even at lowest blink rate. Very difficult to disassemble, re-solder battery pack and reseal when batteries give out.( not designed to be done) This in no more than a Walmart lawn light with a flat surface and two screw holes to put down on a flat surface. If it ever sees 1/4" of standing water it is toast as exposed switches are at the base and not sealed. I would give $30 for a well designed and executed product but this is not it.

This beacon is mounted on our boat dock on Beaver Lake in Arkansas. It is visible for over a mile. I like the fact that the rechargable batteryies can be replaced when needed.
