I was sceptical about purchasing this product because of a lot of grousing about quality by other reviewers. I found the product to be an exact replacement of the original part. Swapping out the entire carburetor was far easier, quicker and cheaper than rebuilding my old carburetor. Installation is just a few bolts and you have to substitute a couple with metric bolts - no big deal. Then fiddle with the high and low speed needle valves until the engine sounds good, and you're done. One half hour - tops. Great value. Would purchase again.

The air mix needle was so tight I thought it would snap off before it came loose. When I didget it out to inspect it and found the tip bent. This was also the case with the fuel needle except there were grooves on the needle. I then removed the bowl and the gasket seamed to be glued to the top and bottom. Then thefloat was so loose on the pin it pivots on that it could touch each side of the bowl. The throttle shaft leakes and I can't even get the motor to run. The only thing good about this carb is that it's clean and shiny.

It replaced the carberator on my 1984 Briggs and Stratton powered Troy Bilt Chipper. I had zero experience replacing a carberator, but found it was easy and quick to do without instruction. Works great!

not only did it go on easy, it looks good . Once I got one of the ground wires off the side of the engine it ran like a brand new engine. I have one problem I can't seam to adjust the carb to where it runs at a higher rpm, other than that, a person could not ask for more. I would recommend to anyone.

When this carburetor was assembled all fasteners and screws were over torqued. I thought I broke the metering screw needle and damaged the main jet. It is a different size than the original carburetor and I could not use the old parts. I reordered the carburetor and the second one I received was worse. The metering screw was assembled so tight that it was wedged into the main jet and emulsion tube, damaging both parts. When I attempted to back out the metering screw it unscrewed the main jet and tube with it. The individual components appear to be an acceptable quality, but the assembly practices result in an unworkable piece of junk. I would not recommend buying this item.
