I've always owned Braun shavers, used Norelco before but they didn't provide a very close shave for my face. Problem is that I always bought the 100/300/500 shavers, they work good at first but the shave quality goes south fast and the you have to keep replacing the foil and blade... I've done this for years... This is my first time buying the series 7 shaver... WOW, big difference... HUGE difference, right from the start... When you power it on the very first time, you'll hear the difference. The frequency of the motor is way different from the lower models, this is a perfect shaver. The closeness of this shaver will shock you... I never thought this "close" of a shave was possible from a "electric" shaver. I've used foam and blade before, the "series 7" is really unbelievable... I'm 54 years old, I wish I would have discovered the 7 series ( and paid the extra) twenty years ago!!!Read full review

Did not live up to expectations. New to Braun series, read up on it and was completely let down. Uneven and not a clean close shave. I have to really struggle, stretch my face all ways to get a decent shave. My 15 year old Norelco tri head shave still does a much better job. Should of just upgraded to newer Norelco model, probably would of saved a few bucks too.

I liked these soo much I got 2 of them now. One is for in my house to use in the shower and the 2nd I keep in my car with an adapter to charge it on the road. That way I never miss a shave. Its a great dry shave, but I prefer to use it wet with shaving cream if I can. It doesn't catch every hair, but the trimmer or a standard shaver can be used to trim the very few hairs it doesnt get (by your ear/sideburn area or the neck hairs that love to sit flat/sideways). A+

My new Braun Series 7 appears to be a well built and fairly quiet shaver. Problem with all electric razors is that performance is based on a three day beard growth where there is more hair for the razor to grab onto. In reality performance should be based on a one day hair growth where there is less hair to grab onto. The Braun seems to perform a little better than the Panasonic which I previously used. It is still somewhat a challenge to easily cut the chin a neck areas and this is accomplished after many repeat strokes of the razor. Two other observations I find washing my face and using an electric razor solution prior to the cut, makes it easier to shave. Secondly, cleaning the shaver head appears to be easier than with many of the other shavers that I have used.

This shaver was an excellent value. It works perfectly, charges fast, and the charge lasts more than an entire week. It's a great deal for me because I did not want to spend the money on a brand new shaver of the same model at this time, so this saved me a lot of money.
