I had a Moto e before I got this Moto X 2nd Gen phone, and it is nice to have more memory with this one. I love the larger size and new features such as the flashlight, the shake to turn on the camera and the always on notification screen when the phone is sleeping. I would have given it an excellent if there was a memory slot and if the battery lasted longer, but the Moto X 2nd Gen is still a good phone and I am enjoying it. With memory so cheap these days, I don't know why all phones don't install at least 64 GB of memory!

It does have a nice display, especially for the size of the phone. Screens this size usually come on noticeably larger phones, and it will stream videos nicely with a good picture and usually a smooth playback. Battery life is average for a 5"+ smartphone, I can get a full day out of it with average usage but it's on the charger every night. If I start the day with less than a full charge the battery won't make it to the end of the day. The only glitch I've had with it is the voice command app Moto (Motorola's version of Siri) will start up for no apparent reason on occasion, and wait for a command with the screen on which of course drains the battery faster. The Android OS gets updates quickly since this is a pure android version of the phone with none of the carrier tweeks or bloatware that you would get from AT&T or T-Mobile. That is actually the main reason I bought this phone, and it does in fact come with much fewer crap apps installed, but I still found myself disabling several useless apps pre-installed from google. I was however, disappointed at the lack of useful apps that came on the phone, things that I figured would be standard for a flagship phone, such as there was no dedicated music player preinstalled. It does come with google play music, which has a usable mp3 player in it, but it is intended to be a subscription service more than just a player, so it has different screens and menus to flip thru, when all I really want or expect is to open the app and pick the song I want to hear. Any basic player downloaded from the play store can do that, but at the cost of having ads run constantly, as is the case with every free app you get from the play store. I don't think it's too much to ask to be able to play music on a (once) high end phone without having to tolerate constant ads or be continuously reminded of the streaming service google wants you to subscribe to. The last comment I'll make is another factor influencing my choice was the quad core processor with 2 gb ram. My previous phone was only dual core with 1 gb, and it definitely had trouble handling some of the newer apps I was using. I figured this would have enough power to handle anything I would do with it, but on more than one occasion I noticed the back getting hot, and once in a while an app will lag, so I can't say the quad core processor is as capable as Motorola claims it is.Read full review

I really liked the size of this phone, fit snuggly in the hand and still had a plenty big display for my needs. The speaker was good also. I think the only thing I wished was better, is battery life. It didn't make it through a full day for me. I still think it's an awesome phone, with small bezels, barely bigger than an iPhone se to be honest.

Well, the phone has excellent battery life, which leaves a smile on my face. The phone works excellent, no glitches, sluggishness, it's quick. My device however, being a refurb, had few flaws, one being the phone speaker was blown. Ofcourse it has scuffs and dings with that said, paying 110$ for imperfection stings, so I definitely wasted money. I was not aware that this phone does not allow sd cards so that was a surprise and a bit of a deal breaker for me. All in all, good phone but I do not agree with the price for this item. I could have spent better elsewhere receiving something brand new and flawless :/ I give my experience with this seller and phone a 2. Thanks for business.

I bought this phone as a spare and to use in Canada with a Canadian SIM card. The phone works fine, the camera seems decent and it's pretty peppy for 3 year old phone. Definitely faster than my old Moto X (1st gen). I am not a power user so it could be my daily driver if I needed it (currently use a Moto G (2015). Hard to comment on battery life for a 3 year old phone. For my use, a charge lasts more than a day. Someone watching a lot of videos or playing games might find the battery life lacking. I did not care for the Otter box. Much too bulky to fit it a pocket. If one used the holder on a belt, it would probably be ok.
