Looking for the best of the best SSD? look no further. I purchased this the Samsung 840 pro, after comparing specs, reviews, and prices of SSD for more then a week. This one proved to be the best overall, and I was not let down. installation was a breeze. Unfortunately I had to use my own mounting tray (because this is JUST the drive) I also had to use my own Sata 6 as well. After installation windows was installed and working beautify, but, I noticed I was loosing some 30-55gb of space to nothing. I ended up having to mess around with the settings and reinstall windows until everything was fixed. I would recommend this product to anyone failure enough with computers that you don't mind spending a while messing with the settings to make this work to 100% capacity.
One of the best SSD's on the market at this time. Purchased this SSD to replace two of my Crucial C300's from several years ago. Love that it uses less power than the older SSD's and love how thin these are. I also love the fantastic 4k write speed, which is the most important aspects of a fast OS drive. I do not like the price of these though as they use MUCH less materials to manufacture than spinning disks yet cost twice as much, really? However, the storage system is what is holding back the computer from really feeling fast and these SSD's really show you just how fast your computer is. Why put a Smart Car 4 cylinder in a Lamborghini body? This is what you are doing when you use a standard magnetic spinning disk drive in a modern computer for the OS. Spinning disks are good for one thing now and that's storage space. Oh, and I own over a dozen different SSD's from the first OCZ Vertex's to the Intel 5 series and these are clearly the fastest ones I have now. Get one of these, or two, lol, and you won't regret it... I didn't!Read full review
Very great product, Some key features is that it adjusts to your system and performance making this a smart ssd. I was easily able to migrate my data from my old HDD to this new ssd and it was fast. My computer now boots under 5 seconds and its unremarkable. For the price its worth it because you know you get great hardware since Samsung makes their own as for the competition that don't and only use third party controllers from the hardware Currently i use this for my windows to bootup and my games, like battefield and such because it loads the maps and content much quickly than a regular hard drive Overall i would recommend this ssd to anyone looking for blazing fast speed at a reasonable price. So far so good and im loving it. Hopefully iv helped you out, i had a intel 520 120gb ssd and replaced it with this, its much faster and powerful above all and also beats the hyperx ssd and the kingston, hopefully my review has been of help. thank you for your time reading this and have a wonderful day!Read full review
Super fast and quiet, I installed this product in my HP Pavilion Laptop and while it is smaller than the stock HD it more than makes up for it in the speed department. I have been using it for months without any problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend buying one of these if you only have a little money but want a big speed difference.

To be fair this is my first SSDs, I've bought. I have purchased solid state DRAM disks before, and do have Hybrids in all my Windows boxes. These were purchased for a home NAS based on Solaris 11 and zfs, I bought 4 a mirrored pair for the OS and write cache and an a striped pair for read cache. The boots on the server are fantastically fast, POST to login prompt in an instant. Mirror resilvers happen so fast it reports that thay take zero time. It is attractively packaged, and unbeliveably light. I am using these in Icy-Dock hot swap bays. If I had any complaint it would be that access is so fast that you never see the blinky lights of drive activity for the OS, making the drive activity LEDs pretty useless, even if they are only a geeky entertainment thing to begin with. There was no need for me to go bigger for my system, and these were the fastest SSDs in this capacity range from other reviews I've read. The expectation is to achive a wirespeed home NAS (1Gbps) and I don't think these drive will be the blocker in that goal. Backend storage in my NAS is up to 24 HGST 7200 rpm 1TB 2.5 drives in RAID6. Time will tell on reliability.Read full review
