MASH is one of the top sit-coms of all time.
I won't really review MASH itself...we all know how good it is. I'm reviewing this particular set. The DVDs are good quality for the most part. We have encountered a few that have the languages mixed up...you click on English and get French, etc. Also, only some of the disks have a "play all" option. Seems weird that there is not consistency from disk to disk in a set. If you are not annoyed by these things, then it is a great bargain.

The sad truth.
This is one of the funniest comedies of all time. The sadness come from the studio not spending and time cleaning up the video quality or using a better and higher compression. This would require pressing more discs, I would have paid more. I love is show but can not hardy stand to watch it. I will be donating them to my local library when I've watch it. I wish I could give it a better review.

It was inevitable that the complete series would be released as a set, I only wish that the folks who design these things would put their products through some basic wear-and-tear testing. A little more thought would have made this set one that would last for years - Some standard soft CD sleeves bound together would have cut the amount of packaging required in half and guaranteed the security of the disks. Overall, the package (in terms of presentation and usefulness) is a disastrous, poorly-thought-out waste of time. The only really helpful bit in the 'special' booklet is the listings of episodes by disk and season, the rest is just fluff. Almost no effort was put into it. I have no idea what the cork clipboard (used to hold the booklet) inside the front cover of the case is all about... Sure, it's cute, but ultimately just takes up valuable space that could have been used to better effect. The set itself is absolutely huge (almost 4 pounds!), bulky and truly awkward to use. The disks are crammed into cheap cardboard sleeves that will inevitably scratch them up really good with only a few uses - So be prepared to buy an extra DVD/CD case, as you won't want to leave the disks in the package for too long if you actually plan to use them on a regular basis. 9 of the disks in my set were loose and beat up on delivery...but at least they still work. Other than the aesthetic criticism, who can really complain? I mean, it's ALL 11 season of MASH! Great show, even if it is starting to show it's age. I'm sure glad I gave up getting the 'season' sets at 2 and just decided to wait. Why pay over $350 when you can have it all for around $100? Even with misgivings about the design, I'd still say that no collector or lover of MASH could or should be without this. Just consider yourself forewarned.Read full review

This is a great series, the inside is very well done and we enjoy it very much. The only thing I would suggest is not buying it though, the discs are in a cardboard slip and when you go to get the disc out you have to slide it which damages the disc to the point it may not be able to be read. We have yet to remove all the discs from the box because we don't want to ruin them. We attempted to watch the first disc in season one, and I looked at it and just from taking it out it had scuffs on the bottom and it caused it to skip!!! I would highly recommend buying the whole set a different way, so you won't risk ruining $100+ worth of discs. I bough this product for a mother's day gift for my grandmother and she absolutely loves the shirt and dog tags, and the box itself has fabric on it. Its a good buy if you don't plan to watch the discs but if you are a fan and want to watch them I would suggest you buy the seasons separately, it may be a little bit more money wise but you will be less likely to ruin them just because you took them out of their slip.Read full review

Contents are first class; however, after I shelled out $30 per individual season for 10 seasons, FOX decided NOT to include the extra three DVDs (movie, bloopers, behind-the-scenes, 30 year reunion, commentaries) in their final season 11 package (nor, after calling them will they add the extras at a later time!). Since I really wanted a "complete" set, I purchased this box set for three DVDs at the cost of $66.67 :? LOL! The khaki-colored cloth box is a great idea, but the DVDs are wedged into a cardboard holder like coins in a coin set. The DVD was slightly scratched the minute I pulled it out of its holder. So, at that point, I wasted no time in getting a separate CD/DVD case for each of them. You'll have to carefully pull out every disc and re-insert them into your new carrying case to keep them safe and sound. The box will be stored somewhere for safekeeping as well. Great set - wished they would have taken care of their faithful customers by including the three extra DVDs as an extra or even included in their sparse season eleven set. BTW - This will be the LAST FOX package I will purchase. Their foresight in greed and aftersight in isolating their loyal fan base will result in their lost revenue.
