Not only was this the best price I could find online, I actually made a slightly lower offer than the full price, decided to buy it anyways at full price to get it asap, then saw the seller had accepted my offer! They were very nice about the whole thing. This product is obviously genuine and works like a charm. Fits together snugly, is extremely easy to rinse clean, though I’d suggest taking the rubber stopper off and giving it a good cleaning once every several brews. Comes with 350 filters, a stirrer, portion spoon, funnel, and instructions for use. Even going so far as to describe some of the science behind optimal brewing temps and different methods for hot brew/cold brew. I switched coffee brands around the same time as purchasing this product, and both the aeropress and my new coffee supplier (Volcanica Coffee if anybody’s interested) have significantly improved my coffee routine. No more washing the french press every day, no more waiting for it to brew, no more wasted coffee beans. Simply add the correct volume for desired amount (if you’re stingy like me use a fry oil thermometer to get the best temp, around 175F), stir ten seconds, apply steady even pressure, and adjust grind as needed! I love this thing and I can tell it’s going to last a long time and be well worth the money. It’s already paid for itself over in two weeks saving on lattes at the local coffee shop. Read full review

First I washed the parts prior to use. Then I ran a test brew. It seemed to be OK, but the plastic stirrer and chamber had a strong plastic odor. So I tried 2 more brews and the odor increased so that it smelled more of plastic and also of chemicals, plus the coffee then had a plastic/chemical taste. I returned the AeroPress, and do not recommend it. I find the "pour over" coffee brewing method is better and easier than the AeroPress. I've used this method for many years. It's easy and fast - just pour heated water over coffee grounds in a ( preferably natural) paper filter in a brewer cone (preferably ceramic or glass) directly into your mug or cup. Rinse off the cone and wash the cup. You can make your own coffee when travelling instead of searching high and low for good coffee.

This thing is like a toy to me better fitting in a big DOLL HOUSE. The air compressing idea is real nice the manufacture is good too BUT I THINK IT IS WAY TOO SMALL!!! IT SHOULD BE TWICE AS TALL(plunger and chamber) AND TWICE as WIDE(plunger and chamber)!!! It makes indeed a VERY CLEAN(NO RESIDUES AT ALL!!) FEELING COFFEE(compared with my 36 oz FRENCH PRESS) Cleaning is super easy compared with my 3 types of filters in my French Press. The pressure required is about the same and the time to finish the coffee is 5x slower then my French Press due to the tiny size(DOLL HOUSE SIZE AS I CALL IT) SO I bought 2 units and I am trying to extend the chamber and the plunger twice as much.. I realy like this thing but I GOT TO MAKE IT BIGGER SAME HOW!!! I taped the 2 chambers together(the ends that the plunger should go in )VERY TIGHT AND AIR TIGHT(ABOUT 10 TURNS OF ELECTRIC TAPE SUPER TIGHT AND I PULL THE TAPE HARD AS I WAS TURNING AROUND ) Now I can fill the first camber all the way to #4 ( now the first chamber is almost full with coffee grounds)with coffee grounds and use the second chamber to fill with hot water and push the plunger (the plunger does not need to be extended) That is it ! THAT IS ALL WHAT THE MANUFACTURE SHOUD DO ACTUALY! It is working great now making 1.5 cups of super strong coffee in 10 seconds.(I placed 2 filters in the filter place so the hot coffee does not start to go through the filter as soon as you pour it in the chamber but stays there as you mix it with the coffee EXTRACTING ALL THERE IS TO EXTRACT from the coffee grounds AND THE COFFEE STARTS TO POUR IN THE CERAMIC MUG ONLY AFTER YOU START TO PUSH THE PLUNGER MUCH BETTER THIS WAY!!) NOW REMEMBER ALL THAT IS TRUE IF THE COFFEE IS COARSE GROUND !!! If you have fine ground coffee then use just one filter and keep the pressure for UP TO 6 MINUTES!!!(I used the counter and the top cabinet just above the counter. I PUSHED THE PLUNGER IN and forced fit the plunger under the cabinet and let it alone (3 min) then I come back to it and I put a flat small fish can between the plunger and cabinet making the pressure high again ( let it alone fore 3 more minutes). THE ADVANCE OF THIS SETTING IS A MUCH STRONGER COFFEE!!! An other tip to have the water at 180 to 190 deg F fast and always the same! Let it in the microwave(1.5 cup) until you see it boiling(you do not have to watch it if it boils more time the temperature CAN NOT RISE MORE(just make sure it is still 1.5 cups when you take it out ; if you come 15 minutes later the water level might be too low) then take it out and put a little (1/4 cup) room temp or tap temp water in it and you will have an instant right temp EVERY TIME! Happy brewing! Benoni IT IS VERY INTERESTING AND PROBABLY USE FULL HOW NICE the funnel fits if placed up side down over the side that holds the filter(hexagon to hexagon shapes!) It can be used if very small mouth mugs are used. THE EBAY SELLER IS GREAT TOO!Read full review

My husband likes the coffee it makes. I have a regular french press from years ago, but he says this is better. We have been using a Keurig the last 6 years, but it broke down. This does not take that much longer but I do have to grind his coffee now and each cup holds a different amount. There are more parts to keep track of. I really do not use the pouring funnel. Several times, this Areo press exploded on me. It was my fault, but I got scalding hot water on my bare arms and coffee grounds all over because the little brown screw on thing that hold the filter and coffee were not secure/tight enough onto the base. While pushing down, even though slowly, it kind of exploded and came off the base and coffee grounds and hot water shot out. What a mess, not to mention it hurt my arm. I thought the brown filter holder was on securely but evidently not. I am very careful now. I twist it real tight and stand back while slowly pushing down. I am not a coffee drinker so this is for him. Because he likes it so much I will continue with it but the keurig sure was easier!Read full review

I really love the AeroPress. I tried it with the grind from my electric burr grinder on its finest setting and the coffee did not develop the rich deep flavor that I was after so I ordered one of those hand crank stainless steel jobs that take forever to grind (I discovered that I if just heat the water, chill and relax while grinding and I don't think about the time it takes to grind) it got fine enough to make a rich full bodied coffee with less bitterness than my drip maker. Today I discovered that you don't really even have to use the plunger, just wait and the thing drips all the water through. Total time including grinding is less than 10 minutes. It is super easy to clean, just push the plunger in all the way and the coffee plug plops into the compost container.. I guess that i will have to buy another one when company comes because it will only brew a small amount at a time.Read full review
