DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. THE SOUND IS GREAT, WHILE THE UNIT WORKS. I HAD MINE A LITTLE OVER A YEAR WHEN I STARTED HAVING ISSUES. A YEAR AND THREE MONTHS, IT DIED.

I purchased this unit for my 2003 Nissan Frontier. The radio promises to have all of the great features that I have been looking for: CD, Bluetooth, USB, Aux input, and RDS. After using it for a few days, here is what I found: 1. Sound: Sound quality is very good, separation of highs and lows was quite good; 2. In the manual, it describes how to program the RDS / PTY functions. In the menu, there is no RDS, PTY, etc., unless you switch the tuner mode to Europe. In other words, it does not seem to work in USA mode. The manual does not state that it will only work in modes other than USA. If I switch it to Euro mode, AM Becomes MW, and, has different frequencies than USA, and, only has 1 set of pre-sets, but the RDS works. Contacted BOSS Audio, and they only suggested a reset, which does not change the issue; 3. Display - I like the blue buttons, and the display. However, if the unit is off, you cannot find the power button, because all of the lighting is off as well. This makes it very hard to use at night. The only light that is on when the power is switched off, is a small red light where the cd goes. 4. It does not connect to the factory dash lighting. So, again, if it is off at night, you cannot find the power button; 5. It has good quality sound even on the Bluetooth. I can now stream via my phone to the radio, which is a nice feature. 6. Did not fit into my dash opening with included brackets - had to move factory radio brackets to the new unit; 7. Poor design of Power / speaker connectors on rear - only locks on one side. There really needs to be a locking connector on both sides of the plug. This can cause the wires to not seat correctly, or even work their way loose. I added a bit of RTV to that side of the connector to prevent this from happening again. Overall, even with the issues I have found, it does seem to work pretty well. Just wish they had better support, and really thought about engineering their products better. Update 11/26/18: Raised the rating up by one star. This is not so much about the product, but, the vendor. They have been spot on assisting with my issues, and have stood behind what they sell. I am returning this unit, and replacing it with another unit from them. I wish all vendors treated their customer's the way this team has done for me. Keep up the great work!Read full review

This stereo is awesome! Bought for my RV to replace the 2nd failed Jensen. Just wanted a tuner with a CD player, a place for my I-pod and a simple remote.Sounds fantastic. I will never use the Bluetooth so won't have that sometimes problem. If this thing holds up it's the most killer deal ever for a RV stereo. We'll see.
