If you like your music to sound like it was intended to Bose is the only name. You get the complete range of sound and great noise cancelling. I love to wear them on a plane I barely hear the engine and can sleep in comfort. I have three pairs of Bose headphones and wish I bought each earlier. Bose is the name in sound

I rarely use these Bose headphones; I prefer the comfort of Sony studio monitor headphones and the ability to listen without using batteries in my headphones. The Bose sound quality is decent, but they need lots of EQ and reduction of gain in the 1k-2k range to sound good. I use Denon's old music app for iPhone to adjust that when I'm listening on iOS devices. These sound far worse than even entry-level Grado headphones, which are roughly half the price, but that's an apple to oranges comparison. The Bose noise reduction is good- I've used these on jet and propeller flights and they do the job. I prefer the newer Bluetooth enabled version of these though, as the flexibility of going wired or wireless is well worth the extra cost.

Product arrived very quickly, as promised. Used condition, some of the headband material is peeling. Could have noted this in the description. My only complaint is that the battery was left in and had leaked. I had to clean out the battery well--fortunately it hadn't crystalized or corroded yet. Recommend you ship these without a battery installed.

I bought these for a long flight my husband was taking because his doctor had recommended them for noise-cancelling, so as to protect his hearing. he said the sound quality was excellent and he even used them w/o music, just for noise-cancelling, which made a long plane trip much more comfortable. my husband never realized how much ambient noise there was on planes until he used these headphones. because of the fact that they used regular batteries, rather than rechargable ones, and their headphones fit around, rather than in, the ears, I believe they're superior to the newer version (qc3), as well.

I own Bose headphones and these feel like a cheap knock off. The sound quality and quieting feature is not as good as my Bose. When they first came the ear cushion on one side was ripped. They sent a replacement but it was different than the original and they did not provide a way to attach it. When I asked they never answered again.
