Took forever to get to me and when I finally got it wasn't even the real "Born To Run" CD but a live PBS knock-off with the songs off the CD.Very disappointed but will swallow the loss with this review to warn off other potential buyers.

Well unless you have lived under a rock since Born To Run was released on August 25, 1975 then you already know this: Bruce and Company have NEVER been better than this!! The ONLY problem I ever had with this album is that Clarence Clemons was on the back cover and NOT on the front with the Boss himself. Why? Because this record sounds more like a Bruce & Clarence album than your normal E Street Band record. Want proof? Listen to Jungleland with a set of high quality headphones and you'll understand. The album cover concept has also been "Borrowed" by many other bands as a thumb's up to the Boss by bands like Cheap Trick (Next Position Please), and even by Sesame Street for their kids album "Born to Add" (try and find that on CD, it's awesome!!). I just finished Mr. Clemons book "Big Man" (which is what all who know him call him) and there are some great stories in there about the recording of this album. There are not many albums that I listen to every week that is not a Rolling Stones album but this is one of them (throw the 1st Boston CD in there too). This album has been re-released many times in every country out there but the latest Born to Run 30th Anniversary Edition Box Set from Columbia records is amazing!! The Box Set was sold only at Best Buy I think (that's where I bought mine) and it came with 2 CD's and 2 DVD's (NO actual ALBUM?!?) I re-bought this CD again here on eBay a few months back because I was sick of running out to the car to bring it back in the house and then back out to the car again. You can find this on CD here on eBay for $2-$5 now since CD's are pretty much worthless because the digital age killed the CD star! Buy it, enjoy it, it does not get better if you're a Bruce fan. Then buy "The Rising", which was a comeback of sorts of the original E Street Band with every song inspired by the events that happened on 9/11/2001. Regards!Read full review
I bought Bruce Springsteen's "Born To Run" on cassette in 1975! It is, as far as I am concerned, his best work! I was fifteen years old at the time and unfortunately wrecked the 69 chevelle that I owned and the tape went with it! I hadn't listened to that tape since then. After all these years I was looking on EBAY, saw it and had to have it! Man! Talking about bringing back memories! This was actually my first purchase on EBAY, and thanks to them, it will definately not be my last!
