It keeps blowing fuses. Im running it for a 100 watt led flash light at 40 volts at 3 amps, and using a 18 volt battery for power it. Keeps blowing fuse after fuse. But it does work. But also that 40 volts at 3 amps Is the highest output i can reach no matter what the adjustment. Somethings wrong with mine.

The description of the device is imprecise and vague. Even with my engineering degree I could not understand what this device does even after several contacts with the seller. I needed a device to deliver stable 12 volts and in view of low price I took the risk that it would not be the product I needed. So, now I know that this is not what I needed but I still do not know what is it for. For example, contrary to the name of this device (step-up) my tests showed that it is rather "step-down;" for 12.8 v of input it delivered 12.45 v of output. On second run, for 13.9 v of input it delivered 13.6 v of output. In my opinion the description of the device should be more comprehensive and precise, both in the ad and in the brochure.

I used this to supply power to a circuit of LEDs. Worked as described with no issues. Pots available for adjusting current and voltage work well. I was able to pinpoint the voltage and current going to my unit to make sure my LEDs would live a long and happy life.

works as advertised out of the box with a minimum of 12volt input it will output 80+ volts no problem and drive a 100W led at 30V while running cool. Auto shuts off when overloaded. Input polarity and output short protection. Will NOT drive 600Watts in my experience. 250 watts just barely operates. 600w no way. Definitely worth the price.

I tested it for stability at several voltages and currents. I liked that the voltage and current were independently selectable via multi-turn pots. at the conclusion, I loaded it to 90% power and left it for 6 hours. It did not fry. I did not test it to destruction, because I need it for a project, but I was satisfied that it is stable and reliable enough for normal use.
