Worth the price of admission for several live versions of the All-American Poet Laurette. Nobody can write like Dylan, The Rolling Stones prior to their1994 Tour played a number of songs live before the studio versions were released as an album/tape/CD/Digital Download. giving their live concert going public great memories & you heard it here first thrill. I thought that Dylan does the same here. I lucked out to catch his car stereo sponsored TV special, Hard Rain. Later listening to Hurricane w great fiddle/violin weaving in & out. listining to the first time for me at least, Idiot Wind. the edgy sarcasm Dylan was known for writing. Loved getting, along w/2 CDs & a booklet, one of his all-time greatest songs on a two song DVD Video of Isis & a Lyric & still only version of Isis. Then to top it all off, a much favored Dylan in his prime (not that it ended) Tangled Up In Blue & I really LOVE that song.Read full review

Shalom & Boker tov...Shabtai Zisel/'Bob Dylan', in 1975 (40 years ago as I write this), using the cantorial chants he learned from CHaBaD (especially in 'One More Cup of Coffee'), reached further, providing us with mar'ot johanna/visions of Johanna, mar'ot shekhinah/visions of Shekhinah...Rolling Thunder Revue was a pinnacle of Yehu'dit creativity no other artist since has paralleled, except by Shabtai Zisel himself. Reb Norman Raeben and the Rebbe taught him well...as did Rav Reuven Maier in 1954... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ STEPHAN PICKERING / חפץ ח"ם בן אברהם Torah אלילה Yehu'di Apikores / Philologia Kabbalistica Speculativa Researcher לחיות זמן רב ולשגשג THE KABBALAH FRACTALS PROJECT

Any Dylan fan would appreciate this live 2disc set. A high point of his long career, all the performances are excellent. The quality of the recording is outstanding. The Rolling Thunder Tour was an important part of music history and this is an excellent document.

Unbroken package! Speaks across many ages. He(Bob Dylan)deserves a higher level of recognition than he has received. As poet, writer, social critic, activist and artist 50+years. Who has not heard the questions he has raised related to what it has meant to human here(look around)? Done. 5catsfat
It certainly is Dylan with an amazing band: Joan Baez on backing vocals, Scarlet Rivera on violin (why did he drop her?), T-Bone Burnett and Bowie sideman Mick Ronson on guitars, and a terrific rhythm section. The tapes must have been remastered because the mix is excellent. They experiment with some new arrangements for some older songs that work out very nicely, and they deliver with solid versions of tunes from "Blood on the Tracks" and "Desire". The version of "A Simple Twist of Fate" is a personal favorite. In it, he changes the lyrics a little and performs it solo, adding to the intimacy and power of this missed connection / one night stand song. Like Dylan's work with The Band on "The Basement Tapes", the music on "Live 1975" can be a little rough and ragged, but that is just part of its charm. For my money, this is top of the line Dylan, and a must-have for any serious fan.Read full review
