Originally I was looking for a ribbon microphone to provide that classic audio quality of the 40s and 50s, but such require pre-amps for use with computers, and so the set up seemed too complicated. We already have a BlueYeti, which my wife uses for on-line counselling and that has a sweet sound, so when the Blue Spark became available in a USB version it seemed worth a shot. Like the Yeti, it's very well made, and finished, and the sound quality is excellent and natural. It comes with its own desktop shock-mount, which is a plus but, unlike the standard Blue Spark the custom pop-filter is an extra. A USB cable and an Apple iPad connector is supplied with the microphone. Playback through the microphone is pretty good, although I fancy my Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional sound card is better. One slight quibble is that the cables for USB and iPad also serve as the output for a headset. This is not clear from the illustration. On the Blue Yeti this output is supplied via a separate jack in the base of the microphone, which to my mind is a better design since if you're not using the headphone jack there's no redundant wiring to clutter up your desk. That aside the unit is very handsome, performs well, and will delight podcasters, movie makers, and musicians. I'm very pleased with this purchase :)Read full review
I play a Concertina (a squeeze box). Since sound comes out each end I purchased 2 mics and placed them is home made acoustic chambers 1 on each side. I feed them into VoiceMeeter and sent the output to Audacity for recording. Now if I could play worth a darn I would have everything I need for a great sound.

I bought this Blue Spark condenser mic give me a second one for stereo recording. I purchased my first one a year ago and it has been a real workhorse in the studio on vocals, drums, cello, guitar, etc. The "Focus" button gives the mic more presence on whatever you throw it in front of.... Blue microphones are known for quality and this one is their 'entry level' studio condenser, but will stack up against mics costing much more... Buy it!
I bought this to replace my old snowball microphone and found this and am very happy that I bought this! It came within I think two or three days after I purchased it. God buy!
