As the previous bleem! releases did for the PC, the bleem! for Dreamcast disks allow gamers to play PlayStation titles on their Dreamcast consoles. Users just start the Dreamcast console with the bleem! disk, then replace bleem! with the regular PlayStation disk when prompted. Unlike the bleem! software for other systems, this release for the Dreamcast only supports one PlayStation game, but is available at a lower suggested retail price.<br><br>This first release in the planned series allows Dreamcast owners to play the PlayStation version of Gran Turismo 2 on their Sega consoles. Additionally, bleem! uses the superior processing power of the Dreamcast to improve the graphical resolution of the PlayStation games it supports, allegedly making the racing game look even better than it would on a PS.

When Sega created the Dreamcast, some people who had replaced their Playstations for the Dreamcast wondered if there was a way to make their old Playstation Games work on the Dreamcast. As People wondered, a company called Bleemcast created a way to make that happen. They created a full disk called "Bleem!", with all types of games to use from PSone, yet this had a few minor glitches. Then they made 3 other disks that work perfectly but for only one game, these were for Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3, & Gran Turismo 2. This one I am reviewing is "Bleem!" for Gran Turismo 2. I am a huge fan of the game Gran Turismo 2 when they had it for the Playstation. I sold the PS1 I owned to buy a Sega Dreamcast, but decided to keep Gran Turismo 2 (since my brother's PS2 plays PS1 games). As soon as I ... I sold the PS1 I owned to buy a Sega Dreamcast, but decided to keep Gran Turismo 2 (since my brother's PS2 plays PS1 games). As soon as I replaced my Playstation for a Sega Dreamcast, I heard from a friend that an emulator disk created by Bleemcast that will allow me to play Gran Turismo 2 on the Sega Dreamcast. I decided to go get "Bleem!" for Gran Turismo 2. As I placed it in, it loaded like most Dreamcast games & then showed the screen saying they were not licensed by Sony (well Duh!), then finally tells me to take the "Bleem!" disk out and put in Gran Turismo 2. I did it and Surprisingly, Gran Turismo 2 was actually playing on my Dreamcast!! I was jumping for joy that despite selling my PSone, I was able to still play my favorite racing game on my new Dreamcast! "The Real Driving Simulator" is even more real on the Dreamcast compared to the PSone (seriously)! GT2 on the "Bleem-powered" Dreamcast looks better than the same game on the PS1. The game is the same as on the PS1, but graphics are smoother, the cars look better, and the tracks & scenery is far better. Basically, it's graphics are leaned more to the side of PS2's Gran Turismo 3 instead of more towards Playstation's Gran Turismo. Think of this as Gran Turismo 2-1/2! Sega GT may of killed Gran Turismo 2 in graphics when it's on the Playstation. But on the Dreamcast, "Bleem!" for Gran Turismo 2 makes Gran Turismo 2 almost even to the graphics of Sega GT. Playing GT2 with a Dreamcast controller is a bit complex and takes a bit to learn, still it's easier to play than it's rival Sega GT though. If you have a PS1 adapter for the Dreamcast (places the PS1 plug on the adapter and the adapter connects to the Dreamcast controller slot), this would be as easy as playing it on a Playstation or the PS2! Bleemcast no longer make this & other "Bleem!" games & the company is now out of business. But still, you can find this disk and other "Bleem!" disks in some gaming retailers, yet these are now extremely rare!!! I loved Sega GT for it's graphics and it is the best "Dreamcast-Exclusive" racing game, but I like "Bleem!" for Gran Turismo 2 much better not just for the "Improved-from-PS1" graphics, but it as many more cars than Sega GT (GT2's 650 vs Sega GT's 130) & it has easier controls. If you have a Dreamcast, hate the difficult driving style of Sega GT, but love to have a great racing game, buy Gran Turismo 2 for the PSone & a copy of "Bleem!" for Gran Turismo 2 for the Dreamcast and have fun playing the greatest racing game from the Sony Playstation clearer & more vivid on your Sega Dreamcast. But note, this disk & any other "Bleem!" disk will only work on all Sega Dreamcasts made before October 2000. Keep this in mind when buying this or any other "Bleem!" disk, so you won't accidentally buy it to find out it won't work.

What more can you ask for 32 bit system to a 128bit system. Enhances the graphics runs smoother. It is for one of the best racing games of all time. Playstation was great don't get me wrong. Dreamcast was one of the best systems that shouldn't of failed. The playstation 2 had nothing on it as well as the xbox . It is a shame. But any how like I said old playstion games on the dreamcast come on now what more could you ask for. Wait I know dreamcast 2!!!!What more can you ask for 32 bit system to a 128bit system.
