As of this review, the Blackberry Curve 3g 9330 is selling at just about 100 to 125 dollars here on EBAY. The Curve it replaced, the Curve 8350, is selling at around 90- 125 dollars. It would only make sense to spend an extra few dollars and get the Curve 3g, because it is twice the phone as the one it replaced. Now that Sprint has officially released Blackberry 6.0 (the newest operating system from RIM and not available for the 8530) for the Curve 3g, the phone is a beast. It has a greatly improved browser, better media player, and my personal favorite, universal search. The build quality is fantastic and I am absolutely love the textured battery door compared to the slick plastic one on previous curves. Battery life seems to be an issue with some people, I don't get it. The battery last me over 16 hours of heavy texting and occasional web browsing. Of course running anything GPS related, like Google maps or geo tagging will drain the battery quicker if left running, so simply turn it off when you're not using it. The only con I can find with this phone is the lack of flash for the camera. Outside of that, this is a great Blackberry. Just remember to upgrade to 6.0 when you get the phone. It brings the Curve 3g to life.Read full review
Awesome. Best way to put it, awesome! What I have been looking for in a phone. Sick of slow androids that freeze up when you receive a phone call? Slow androids that won't load your favorite website? Slow androids that promise fast processor speeds and entertainment to satisfy the boredest of the bored? Then this phone may be for you. I enjoy being able to answer my phone when it rings, playing music without any lag time, connecting to facebook without any errors. Yet the camera may not be the best, the processor speed, the available apps, the endless features make this phone my favorite. I will be a blackberry owner “only” from this point forward!
I switched from a Samsung Moment (don't EVER buy one of those) and the ease of use, size, features and battery life were well worth it. I prefer hard buttons over the touch screen, so it was a good switch. The battery life is excellent, and the software is easy to navigate. The only con I have is the texting, because of the smaller buttons. But ease should come with practice.
I truely love this phone! It is user friendly and flows perfectly. The key pad was a concern before purchase. (keys appeared small etc.) But afterwards, I found keys are nice and firm, easy to type. User menu has nice flow and phone operating system functions well. I am pleased with battery life and will continue using BlackBerry's from now on! GREAT PHONE!!!
I just recently upgraded my phone from the Blackberry curve 8330 to the curve 9330. The pros: The price was very reasonable as compared to the 8330. The 9330 is a much lighter & thinner phone, better navigation through apps with the touch trackpad, the touch trackpad performs better than the trackball (trackball would stick sometimes while using it) & faster speed while using the web browser. I like how the apps can be organized in different catagories (favorites, media & downloads). I've only listed a few since I'm still finding out new things about the phone. Con: the only bad thing that I found is the battery life. Obviously, you can't spend the entire day surfing the web & using the GPS, as it will drain the battery completely. To save on battery life, close out all websites and the GPS app. Overall I like the phone. I hope this review will help someone who's deciding to get the 9330. Good luck!Read full review
