I have another model of Black & Decker cordless vac which just quit working, so I ordered this more powerful one. I have very bad shoulders & arthritis, & I actually find this to be a little too heavy. Mostly have to use 2 hands. I wanted it mostly for picking up cat hair from my couches. My dog only sheds very little, being a poodle mix. Cat hair is very difficult to vacuum up, as it embeds itself into fabric. So this vac doesn't do a thorough job. It's great for reaching cobwebs up high, quick touch-ups on the bathroom floor/rugs, & also crumbs in the car. I wish the end of the vac could go both from horizontal to vertical, as getting into some areas are easier in vertical mode, which is what my other vac was.

Beautiful design, super-strong suction, long lasting charge. But - Horrible charging set-up. A wall mount was to be provided - it wasn't - had to contact Black & Decker to have one sent to me. When the wall mount is installed, there's no way to charge the vacuum, because it's designed to sit on a flat charger plate - which is unusable with the wall mount. B&D needs to seriously look at using a simple plug-in charger cord so the vacuum can be charged on the wall mount.

Overall this machine is ok to good - it is much better than anything I have used before but I will write to point out some concerns: (1) I was surprised that operating it only lasted about 15 minutes on a full charge. It ran out before I could finish cleaning my car and I hope I simply wasn't provided one with a bad battery. (2) I also find the emptying bag easy to manage right now but imagine the cloth inside will get very filthy over time and possibly break when trying to clean it more thoroughly. This will likely end up requiring the purchase of a new filter. I really don't have a frame of reference for how other emptying designs function but I simply noticed a concern with this model.

This has been the best 'Dustbuster' I have ever used. It is powerful and keeps a charge long enough to vacuum the car, small cleanups and even spot cleaning a few rooms. I like the charging base, but if you like a wall mount, this is not the mode. It is bag-less, but you will need to pull and rinse out the filter cup periodically, especially if you have pet hair to deal with. There are dozens of B&D cordless vac models. I recommend the lithium battery and above the 12V configuration. These batteries do not get a memory of short use or negatively impacted by being on the charger between uses. The downside is that after 2 years of use, the battery quit with no symptoms. It simply would not hold a charge. So I bought another, as I believe it is worth it. But I disassembled my old one (easy to do) and found the battery pack inside is removable. I will take it to Batteries Plus and see if there is value in replacing the battery pack as opposed to buying a new vac. I have read the batteries are nearly as expensive as a new vac, but with lithium batteries more commonplace, hopefully that is no longer the case. Still I can use the old one for the porch and garage and the new one indoors for lesser messes.Read full review

I love this little vac. I bought the same model a few years ago but the battery stopped charging. So, I got this one. I used the old one at least once every day. It's light weight and great at picking up dog hair. It doesn't take long to recharge and is great for vacuuming the stairs.
