Had an awful orange adjustable 3D printed buttrest on the rifle I bought. Realised I still needed an amount of adjustment after taking it off - found this, fitted in a few minutes, into the shoulder, perfect. Could do with a slightly higher finish on the metalwork but all in all I'm pleased with the product at the price I paid. It gives the rifle back it's traditional aesthetic and still allows a reasonable range of adjustment. I'd buy another for my other rifle in other calibre.

    Bisley adjustable butt pad

    Good value for the money, but an instruction leaflet for those who are not very handy would be good. The finished article looks the business, as long as great care is taken when cutting it to fit your rifle butt. also 16 quid is far better than 85 quid, & it looks just as good!!.

    Poor quality control

    Mine arrived with one of the two screws, that go into the rubber pad, cross threaded and jammed so the pad was sitting 3mm clear of the metal and stuck. It had to be torn out and the pad and glued back on instead. The centre nut head that does the sliding is actually slightly taller than the base plate, so once screwed onto a solid flat stock, it is jammed too... this also had to visit my grinder before it could be used. The final result is satisfactory but I had to buy rubber/metal bonding glue and spend time getting it to that point.

    A fine item - does it fit?

    Like a lot of folks I need to make this fit the stock of my Daystate. Unless you're very lucky it won't fit and, in my case, it wasn't big enough (so I can't reduce the size on a grindstone). Solution: buy a 1/2 inch, or 1 inch, spacer and reduce one face of that in size to the stock-end and the other face to the butt pad i.e. use the width of the spacer as the reduction. Sounds easy huh?

    Adjustable pad

    This is a well made product that really makes the gun fit a persons shoulder. Have been consitently hitting 6 more birds at trap every weeks since installation. Only complaint is rubber is very hard and does little to reduce recoil.

    You shoot better when your rifle fits - this will help it fit

    Took a couple of hours to file and polish the back plate to be a neat fit to the profile of the [shortened] rifle stock. That done, it blends nicely. Would be more flexible if the fixing holes were not pre-drilled. What's the chance of them being in the correct place? Also, a few small blow-holes in the die-cast. That said, for this price I can live with a couple of additional holes and blemishes. Perfectly satisfactory for the purpose described.
