Hello campers, the main reason for buying tent was weight and quality. I usually camp with 2 or more people for which I have an MSR Fury but I want to solo for 1 to 2 week events. Have camped with others using BA Fly Creek and served task perfectly. I bought tent, very easy set-up and fast. This is an extremely lightweight and minimalist tent well suited to wilderness camping. Bought at end of last season and got to use once for 9 day trip (quetico), moved every day. I am 5' 10", weight 190 lb. It is as if tent was made specifically for me. EXCESS room is not a problem with this tent because there is none but there is enough to suit purpose comfortably. Sleeping mat, bag and in tent items fit well. Vestibule is small but can store boots, small pack. We had 4 days of rain, one day had winds in the 40 to 50 mph, tent stood the test perfectly. AS far as weight and packability, this is perfect, I bought it to be minimal and it does not disappoint, packs easily into sacks. I have used North Face and MSR tents (2 person), the quality of workmanship and material in this tent is excellent and well thought out. Tent also has options, can be set-up with fly and footprint to be even more minimal, or set-up just tent without fly and be a world class stargazer. I like this tent immensely, and can not think of anything I dislike, fits my purpose as if I designed it my self. I can hardly wait until next season.Read full review
I used it twice camping in Oregon. It was easy to set up. It's perfect size for me and my two small dogs. There was some condensation on the fly when I stayed in Takhlakh lake campground. Otherwise, no issue.

I've not hiked with the tent yet but have set it up in my living room. The only reason I rated 4 stars is that it's not truly free-standing. Not a terrible disadvantage but I plan to hike areas this summer that are above treeline and largely granite. That will likely required using rocks for the foot-end corners which won't work well if it's windy. After receiving the tent, I also ordered a footprint since the material, as expected for low weight, is somewhat light. I've used tents for years and never had a footprint. Figured the extra 4 ounces of weight in a footprint would be a worthwhile compromise since It will be set up on granite often. Other than what I mentioned above about the foot-end corners, it appears the fly will be more than ample to hold out water in the event of rain.

I was a bit leery whether a tent this light could hold up to back country wear and tear. My experience was very good. There is plenty of room for all 6'2" of me. As for being a 2 man tent... it would have to be 2 small adults who are comfortable sharing the same space. In my opinion, it works better as a 1 man tent which leaves a bit of room for gear. The only issue I have had so far is the fly zipper. Because of the light weight materials, the fly wants to get stuck in the zipper. But, if you finesse it you can get around this minor issue. All in all, it sets up reasonably easily, has adequate room and ventilation, and keeps you dry.

This is a great " little " tent. It sets up easy and is super light weight. My first use was at 32 degrees and in the dark and a super windy night - but it held up fine. It is a tight fit ( I am tall ) - but great for solo backpacking. I made a tent footprint out of Tyvek.
