The locking block is the newest design (gen 3). It fits sloppier than previous generations but once in the frame it doesn't matter. This block is supposed to eliminate any cracking that previous generations had, which was very very rare. I just purchased this because I have the original barrel and a threaded barrel for my 92fs inox and do not want to change out the block every time I change the barrel. Beretta factory parts are quality and have no reservations about buying genuine Beretta replacement parts. Same with Glock, and other manufactures. Safe Shooting!

did not fit silencerco barrel for beretta 92, nor the stock barrel. The locking block was way to tight (almost didnt fit at all and would seize if attemped to cock) it required filing and fitting to get to work properly.

Tight fit had to stone locking block just a hair. But most likely the Barstow brand custom .357 sig barrel. for the Beretta 96 s&w 40

Gets no better than genuine Beretta parts. Good deal here also.

Not an easy do it yourself job. The pin in my barrel would not come out. Ended up damaging my barrel. Sent it off to Beretta and now it's going to cost a lot more than what I was trying to save by doing the job myself. If you love your firearm take it to a gunsmith.
