I purchased this album a while back and from start to finish, it blows you away. If your a fan of Behemoth and are looking into checking out some of their early works, this is a good starting point. With this album, you can see the transformation of the band branching towards a more death-metal style while still staying in touch with their black metal roots and adding mass amounts of melody to give it the real unique and awesome sound that is BEHEMOTH! One thing that stood out to me about this album is how much better Nergal's voice sounds compared to some of the earlier works of albums like ...And the Forest Dreams Eternally and Grom. Nergal singing sounds more Morbid Angel influenced but ultimately, he creates his own bad ass style, one so recognizable that as soon as you hear it you say, "god damn, thats Behemoth." So for fans who are unfamiliar with earlier works of the band, I strongly recommend this album. Best Songs: Decade Ov Therion, Ceremony of Shiva, Chant For Eschaton 2000!.Read full review
Well, the first thing that catch my eyes, was de 93 tracks, besides the music that I already know, excelent by the way. But my hapiness, after the delivering, turn in something else. The booklet was diferent from the one I knew and soon I discover, that this was the american release by Dwell Records. So that´s the big deal: it cames with the 93 tracks and the booklet reduced from 10 to 1 crappy page. For me, this means another CD purshase, cause it cames incomplete. Except for this "little" detail, it´s is really a brand new cd. This I can´t complain.
One of my favorite Behemoth albums, it definately paved their way into the more Death Metal style of their playing. I just had to purchase it to fill in it's gap in my Behemoth collection! ^_^ m/
