I have had worn these the maximum of 4 hours since they just sit on your ear. That's all I could manage. Friends have borrowed mine and said the same thing. I work 8 hour days and thought having these on my ears while working from home for 8 hours a day would be great. Went back to my wireless Studio Beats which are over the ear.

If you consider yourself a 'true audiophile', you likely are already aware of this, but there is nothing in the beats lineup which you will not loathe. With over-exaggerated low end that is bloated, and boomy, but still manages to retain a good punch, there is no shortage of bass output in these headphones. The mids are clear, and crisp, but do fall off slightly at higher volumes, especially when driven through an EQ. Vocals are reproduced with good accuracy, and a decent degree of separation from the remainder of the mix. The quality of high-frequency reproduction is my only real beef with these headphones, as it can come across a bit screechy at high volumes, and is the first part of the mix which dips into distortion... However, these shortfalls were really only present when I was playing my music from my iPad Air2, using the Onkyo HD Player application, with the 64-band EQ pushed quite high... No one should really be listening to music that loud over headphones anyway, so, I wasn't surprised that I experienced these issues. If you're used to beats solo headphones, the mixr will definitely be a pleasant upgrade, with more bass, clearer midrange, and more defined vocals. The high-frequencies are also greatly improved, with much crisper, bolder reproduction. If you've had beats products in the past, and been pleased, then these headphones will not disappoint. The rumours of sound quality depreciation, since Dr.Dre split ties with Monster, are, in my opinion overblown. I upgraded to these mixrs from Monster-era solos, and the mixrs honestly destroy my old solos... Again, that is just in my humble opinion, but I've been a massive stereophile since I was thirteen, and in two months, I turn 41... So, I may just know a thing or two.Read full review
