I recently purchased my 5th Battery Tender Plus that I have put into service. I consistently use one on every battery powered vehicle that I own, both here in Florida and in Maryland, and have done so for nearly 20 years. Keeping the battery at optimum charge without overcharging maximizes its useful life. I have NEVER gotten less that 4-5 years on a motorcycle battery, atv battery or the auto battery in one of my vehicles (that "sits" most of the time in the garage up north). As a matter of fact, I recently replaced my Harley battery after 7 years in a hot Florida garage, only because I thought it was time, not due to failure. The units are warrantied by the manufacturer for a period of 10 years, and of all the units I've owned, I have had one fail. I called the Company, in Deland, FL., near Daytona, and read them the serial number. They confirmed its manufacture date and after 8 years, shipped me an identical replacement immediately. A word of caution, when you receive yours look at the "pigtails", you will receive one set that can attach permanently to the battery with a disconnect at one end, as well as a similar pigtail with battery clips and a disconnect. The are of high quality and a heavy gauge of wire. I purchased several similar connectors at car shows and the like to install on other vehicles. Eventually I began to get error messages (lights flashing etc.) on my tender. I spoke with customer service and they identified the problem as the inferior, say cheap, replacement connectors. I replaced my cheap ones with those made by Battery Tender and have never had another issue. When viewed side by side the inferior quality of the extras that I had purchased was obvious. There are cheaper versions out there, but as "they" say, you get what you pay for, and that's very true here. You'll never regret your purchase. Read full review

This unit arrived on time and worked out of the box. My uneasy feeling about this purchase was two-fold. The last Deltran Battery tender that I purchased lasted less than 3 years and this unit in the $45.00 range was over priced. I needed a battery tender for this Ohio winter (because the other Deltran unit failed) so I took the chance and ordered this 021-0128 model.

This is a Great Product for keeping small batteries charged. I have used this product for 20 years to keep motorcycle batteries charged. There is a short cable with eyelets that you connect to the motorcycle battery terminal and place the connector plug out by a side cover. Every few weeks, plug in the Battery Tender to 120 VAC and plug its outlet cord into the plug connector by the motorcycle side cover. The Battery Tender will automatically charge the battery to full level and then trickle charge until disconnected. This has to be the best and simplest way to keep a motorcycle battery charged. Especially when the motorcycle is not used like the Winter. There is also a cable with a pair of clamps for attaching to a battery for normal charge.

I have bought many of these Tenders. For different uses. They last. They monitor and refresh your battery. No matter what it's in. Motorcycles, cars, trucks, lawn mowers, any thing that has a battery. The most important thing, it shuts down once your battery is topped off. And doesn't dehydrate, or ruin your battery. They do offer different type tenders for different type batteries.
