For the price point, this is a decent bow. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to get into hunting with a crossbow. I would not recommend this for the experienced crossbow hunter. The Good -Price -lightweight -150lb draw -comes with everything you need to shoot it The Bad - Not enough speed/power compared to newer bows - top of rail is not real smooth (leads to premature string/cable wear) - under rail, other manufacturers use a block of plastic to keep string/cable from rubbing, Barnett used a plastic sticker. (leads to wear) -even with wax and cleaning, the string/cable does not last for over 100 shots before it is needing replaced. (some other bows that we've used are good for triple that)

I bought this for my 13 year old daughter and she loves it. It fits her well and is light enough that she can shoot it off handed if she needs to. The 130 lb draw weight is heavy for young shooters, but with the cocking rope and instruction they can learn to cock it. If they are smaller, it is nice to know that Barnett has a crank cocker that can easily be attached. The assembly is easy with the provided instructions. Sighting in the 3 dot scope was easy and the groupings were nice and tight at 20 and 30 yards. It didn't come with a sling, which I thought for the money they could have included one, but there were 3 bolts, a quiver, and a tube of Barnett wax/lube included that were of good quality. So if you are thinking of buying this for a younger hunter or even a hunter of smaller build, this is a great Xbow. Be sure to buy a sling and a case at the same time... and some extra string wax and rail lube.Read full review

im into 300 shots and no problems at all. i switched out the scope. i just dont care for dot scopes. bolts that were included have been perfect. i feel w proper maintenance this will be around for a while. i wish it had a longer lop. i will probably make something to lengthen that a bit. was a little noisy at first. added bowjax limb dampners and string silencers. its much quieter now.

I bought one a few months ago and all I had to fix is the scope. I bought a better scope that worked great for me. Everything else about the bow works great. It's light weight and shoots fast enough for me for 35 yards and closer. I'm going to use it for 3D archery to so I can shoot the bow all year round. A friend of mine wants one now.

Can't beat this for the price! It arrived in 3 days, took home a 6 point buck for dinner 2 days later. With Walmart arrows, I clocked it at 288 fps. We put a R/G Dot scope on it and found it to be totally adequate out to 30 yards, but could see it useful at 40-50. We got out buck at 10 feet, though. We've shot it at least 20 times and found it very accurate, with a nice trigger, easy to hold, light weight, easy safety, ergonomic, and seems durable enough for what we do. It came w/ the cocking rope, even though the description said it wouldn't (I believe). So get one - and feed your family!
