Bandai has knocked it out of the park with this 1/144 scale version of star Wars iconic Millenium Falcon. It features the best detail I have ever seen on ANY Millennium Falcon kit to include the service ports and sidewalls detail which is the best layered 3d detail i have ever seen on any kit's made of this model to include the Fine Molds kit. When you see this kit and how it perfectly fits together along with the stunning detail you will know that what I am saying here is absolutely the truth. I would love to see Bandai take this exact design and release it at 1/72 or even 1/48. That said, trust me, even a 1/144 it features some real revolutionary design that truly makes the model pop. Hat's off to Bandai, they really are the best! I love their entire Star Wars series!! But the Falcon is easily one of the best of series.Read full review

I was originally looking for those highly intricate models where you have to glue all the tiny pieces together. My uncle had a Millennium Falcon from the 80s that was exquisite. I thought that is what this was. These, while still being highly intricate and cool, are actually snap together type models. So, advanced lego for adults. I was disappointed in the smaller ones I bought (X-wing and Star Destroyer) since they were so simple to make. Almost like a Kinder Surprise Egg. Anyway, looks really cool and detailed but did not provide the hours and days of crafting I was hoping for. Just an evening of snapping together. Not really worth the price tag.

Ban Dai has made model building into an art. This kit requires no glue and it fits together precisely. I usually build and paint high end resin kits. I was very sceptical about building a styrene or plastic kit that is a snap together. This kit was very reasonably priced at about $35.00 which is very cheap especially when it has about 100 pieces that are stamped in the color of the Millennium Falcon. So not only is the kit easy to put together you don't need to paint it. As if you think it couldn't get better the kit comes with decals or if you aren't up to that skill level they also include stick on decals that are the same as the decals. So do yourself a favor and check out one of the Ban Dai kits. You won't be sorry.

Pro: It has some great detail. A lot of parts. It is the best and most fun model I've done in years. If you are a Star Wars fan and love the Falcon: Get this model! Con: No extra radar dish to make the other version of the Falcon.

Kit is similar in most respects to the fine molds kit in detail and complexity. This kit does however have built in a place for and optional lighting kit which is sold separately. I am really looking forward to building it!
