I recently purchased this machine for a very good price. The seller s description was honest- he stated that it was working but that it kept eating up fabric. From this, it seemed to me that the problem was mechanical, not computer related. I have been sewing for over 50 years and I can fix most any mechanical problem as long as the machine runs, so I took a chance on getting a machine I could spend a little time working on and have a nice machine. I mostly was looking for an embroidery machine that could do larger patterns. Only a few days after the sale, I got the machine. Great care had been taken in packing and all arrived safely. I unpacked it all and set the machine up right away. I was finishing an order for a customer, and as soon as I got done, I read through as much of the manual as I needed to and then ran a test embroidery pattern one a scrap of material. It sewed perfectly!!! I had to order a couple of parts in order to test sewing mechanism, I did that the same evening. As soon as I got the parts, I set about sewing some decorative stitches. They worked pretty well, but I did discover that the machine machine does tell you that the bobbin is getting empty too soon. I am working on that. The only other issue I found is that it is important to pay attention to the accumulation of waste thread in the bobbin race area. I removed the needle face plate, removed the bobbin, cleaned the race and changed the needle. It has never eaten any fabric so far, and I did test it on an embroidery pattern of my own design. It did a great job! I am so happy that I took the chance on this machine. It is a good heavy weight workhorse. I think that with patience and good care and maintenance it will be working with me for quite a while.Read full review

Replaced an older Ese Machine, the only down side was the accessories that were wanted, but not necessary to operate it. Multi projects are already finished and many more to come. Several people have to have custom work done so it will pay for itself in a very short time.

I really like this machine. Actually I traded my original Esante in on an Ellegante (which I also really enjoy) but I missed some of the built in features on the Esante. I looked to buy a used machine and am happy with the Esante ESE2 I purchased. This machine is a Babylock but it is made by Brother and uses brother cards. You will need a Card reader box like the Brother Basic PED box to transfer designs to a rewritable card to use in your machine if you do not have cards for it. Designs can be gotten by downloading from the internet and then saving them to the card and put into your machine to be sewn. There is a built in alphabet and built in frames to use as well as some character sewing designs that can be accessed without using the embroidery unit since they are built in designs. All in all a good machine.Read full review
Bought this to replace my wife's singer confidence. She has fallen in love with it! Easy to use. Great features, automatic threader, needle up and needle down, and presser foot. She has yet to try the embroidery part but is scheduled to take a class on it soon.

My new Esante Babylock was a wonderful addition to my crafts and quilt making. It is soo easy to understand with the built in manual and instructions. I love that it gives you warnings to look for. I will also look into the upgrading system that this machine offers. Great sewing experience!! I love the features.
