If you have ever picked up a copy of National Geographic and wished you could travel the world more then the visual splendor of this documentary will appeal to you. There are moments of interest, humor and many moments that will warm your heart but overall it is a feast for the eyes. You will enjoy the clarity of the blu ray as it shows you just what your HD TV was designed for. The documentary itself is simple. It follows the birth and first year of "babies" in selected parts of the world. There is very little talking and the story plays out again, visually. The foreign languages are not subtitled so what you hear is kept raw and to me, adds to the appeal "National Geographic" style. The special features are good too and you get to go back when the babies are a little older as the film maker takes his documentary to the families to show them his work. Very enjoyable !Read full review
