I just installed the BE-2400 in my Acer 5515, and I am running several apps concurrently, including HDTV via Windows Media Center, Mozilla Firefox (this), the wireless broadband app, and there is a burn-in benchmark (SiSoft Sandra) running in the background, all that to put 90% to 100% load on the CPU. It's been running like this for 3.5 hours. The temperature hovers at around 52C, with spikes up to 53.5C, then cools down to 50C. The little fan seems to handle CPU temps just fine. The power scheme I am using is the 'balls out' (everything 100%), when plugged in (which it is). I have yet to fiddle with the power scheme when it's using the battery. Temperatures seem well in the normal operating range. I used Arctic Silver 5 for a thermal compound. Running Windows 7 Ultimate RC, so it should not be different with the Vista, that it came with from the factory. I believe, the power scheme can be adjusted for battery usage to such an extent, that 2 hrs of battery life with similar performance to the factory 2650e can be achieved. All in all, I'd say it's a good and safe upgrade and the processor is 100% perfect. Product that i purchased is well worth every penny spent. Thanks! :)Read full review

Processor works great for the laptop we put it in. It handles light duty tasks with Windows 7 64bit with no problems.
Reather good performance and energy efficient processor for socket P notebooks. I absoluteley recommend it if the notebook supports it.
