This 3-cd collection of rare and unreleased Dylan contains some songs that, had they been previously included on an album, would surely have been among Dylan's greatest hits. Most notably, "Blind Willie McTell". The story goes that, when asked, Dylan said he didn't include this blues tune on the "Infidels" album because he "didn't sing it right." Well, I don't know exactly what he meant by that, but I guess I would have to agree. The song's refrain is that "nobody can sing the blues like Blind Willie McTell", but this statement is proved false in no uncertain terms, by Dylan's own rendition of this song. Another great tune that should've been included on an album long before this one, is "Who Killed Davey Moore?" There's lots more goodies on this triple album, but those two songs alone make it worth buying.Read full review
It is an amazing series. I think, it could be the best bootleg series. There are a lot of really good tracks, that everyone should listen to. Thank you Bob Dyan.
