I found this book to be a great read. It’s dark, funny and chopped full of conspiracy. It keeps you guessing as to how the “good” guy is going to win. This books deals with what happens when the king of a kingdom dies, and none of the three Princes are fit to take over. Green does a great job in this book combining the real and the Unreal. Who are the good guys and who are the bad? You can’t help but to root Jordan on in his biggest performance ever. But how will this book end? Who will be king? Will it be Prince Lewis, Prince Dominic, or Prince Viktor (the man Jordan is hired to impersonate)? In Castle Midnight, things aren’t always what they seem. The last paragraph on the back of the book says it best – “But fate-or perhaps a magical conspiracy- was about to rewrite the script for everyone at Castle Midnight, and only time would tell who would live to claim the throne and who would rule the legions of the dead…” Although this book comes after "Blue Moon Rising", it can be read alone. However, "Blood and Honor" does refer back to the Demon War, the Border War, and other things that happen or that you learn about in "Blue Moon Rising".Read full review
