I've used Belkin KVM switches for years to minimize monitor and keyboard clutter with my multiple vintage computers. They are stupidly easy to install and use, requiring no software and will work with any operating system, even DOS. About the only limitation is that they won't work with serial RS232 mice, but the switch will still work as long as there is a keyboard connected to it. The switch uses a PS/2 interface for the keyboard and mouse, but a keyboard with an AT or USB connector can be used with an adapter without any problem. Also, a USB mouse can be used with an adapter. I bought my first Belkin KVM switch in 2004, and it's still working perfectly. I expect the second one I just bought recently to outlive me.

Just what I needed so I could continue to use my old IBM PS2 keyboard. Works great between an XP and Win7 unit.

works good, but it takes a little time to get use to using the scroll lock-1 or scroll lock-2 mode of switching; even when both computers are shut down.
