The high definition, wide screen and remastering are phenomenal. The Special features and deleted scenes and additional pieces are not your typical fluff either. Well worth if watching. Yes the original BSG is a bit dated and not as edgy as the newer Sy-Fy networks reboot. It was made in the '70's for Prime-time Broadcast TV after all. But if you watched this , cancelled way too soon Series, growing up or want to know how the original story line was. This is the set to buy. There are a lot of question about this set. Let me address the primary two. Yes the original (3-part) Pilot Movie is in here... Saga of a Star World, and Lost Planet of the Gods 1 & 2. Secondly the primary difference between the gray set and the red set is about $40 bucks. The only thing extra with the red set is the original aspect ratio (old TV) version is included on another set of discs. If you've bought a TV in the last 12 years all you'll want is the gray collection. If you'r TV Is that old why are you even looking at the Blu-ray? So many good memories. I had this on DVD from 15 years ago. However adding Galactica 1980 was a nice touch. Bravo to Great-TV-ShowsRead full review
