I loved this video. For its time, 1965, this was revolutionary television. In the introduction, Barbra herself talks about how CBS was afraid to air the program when it was discovered that it was Barbra, and only Barbra. No skits, no other performers. Just pure Barbra doing what she does best. A mix of old songs, with a bit of comedy thrown in. I grew up in the 1960s, so I can relate to the period when many television programs, such as this one, were still being shown in black and white. The songs are obviously 1965 and older. If you grew up with old music, and are a fan of musical theatre style entertainment, the video is definitely worth the money. By today's standards, My Name is Barbra may not be glitzy enough to hold the interest of a younger generation, but for us older folks, it's a chance to view a one-and-only young performer doing what she did best.Read full review
