Since the original spindle from Bad Boy did not contain sealed bearings and both bearings came apart, this one is much better and the price is about half of what Bad Boy charges. My other two spindles did have sealed bearings and I don't know why Bad Boy put this low quality one on my mower. Highly recommend.

I received this spindle in a box that looked like it had been dragged behind the delivery truck instead of carried inside. It had a bent snap ring inside the box. I did not see anywhere for the snap ring to be installed on the unit, so I installed it on the customers mower. After about 2 hours of use, the top bearing seized. Knowing it was an aftermarket part, I figured there was no use to try and get it replaced, so I went to NAPA and bought a new bearing. As I disassembled it, I noticed a groove on the shaft that was covered by the bearing where the damaged snap ring was supposed to go. After replacing bearing,and a new snap ring, it has performed well. I'm not saying that it is a bad product, but, I'm saying that it should be packaged for shipping better.
