Easier to Use
The Bachmann long shank coupler is a great product to use on passenger cars or custom build locomotive projects where longer clearances are required. These couplers can also be used on the longer modern freight cars.

Bachmann EZ Mates are a good choice of H.O. scale couplers
After a half century of using the N.M.R.A.couplers on myH.O. scale railroad ( also known as Horn Hook couplers) I made the switch to Bachmamns EZ Mate coupler in December of 2020. It was a very good decision. The couplers join together readily and go not uncouple moving through reverse curves as the old Horn Hooks do. The medoum center shank size dropped right in to most coupler pockets on my rolling stock.. I recommend you purchase the Kadee coupler height gauge and red washers to ajust the car height az most of mine tended to hang low I have had good reliable operation with these couplers and would recommend them to other model train fans. My only complaint is they do not couple on a curve, bit then, the Horn Hooks didn't ether. My only regret is that i didn't convert much ...
