Okay. This was one of those albums I bought because of a couple of songs that were dear to my memory. I'm a lover of all music genres, but for most, the sub-genre that's typified here may be one for the thirteen-year-old girls of a decade past. However, if you enjoy techno-dance-pop that makes you get up and head to the dance floor when you're just out to have a good time and you don't care whether or not you impress anybody, this CD might well be for you. "Freak Out" is good fun that's so goofy it's sure to arouse a giggle. And speaking of arousing... this foursome, for those whose heads might still be stuck in what was cool in the 90's, are every bit as sexy, if not more so than another more well-known has-been girl band that had their heyday around the same time period - yes I'm talking about the Spice Girls. So hold your partner close and get your groove on to the slower, more contemplative "Blame it on the Weatherman". Unfortunately not every song on the CD worth remembering. The group's second album is probably more stable throughout. But what CD is really good enough that you want to listen start to finish without pressing the 'skip' button once? That would be excellent. My biggest qualm with this album - or, at least, with the songs I don't care for quite as much - is that sometimes it seems to take itself too seriously, when perhaps it ought to simply admit that it's fluff.Read full review
