This mic sounds good for vocals plugged in to my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp.. I've used the Shure SM 58 before & think this is close if not better.. Seems to be a quality mic for practice or live performance.

I use this microphone with a dictation computer program. When I speak into it, the computer types what I say without typos, so overall it produces very good sound clarity, thus making this microphone a very good buy; well worth the money.

Previously owned an ATM41a (the Audio Technica predecessor) with which I was quite happy, bought this to replace it and it is even better sound. I like it better than the Shure SM58 and it costs way less.
