A truly interesting historical compilation of significant descriptive information of the Noritake Company, while providing remarkably superior photos of their exquisite china and its identifying backstamps/marks. The author knows his subject, has organized & beautifully presented the subject matter and has succeeded in effectively 'dangling the carrot' for the collector. Additionally, one's knowledge is enhanced & broadened while discovering more than expected for this book stands far above the ordinary collector's guide. Covering a wide array of fascinating porcelain ceramics it is seductive and 'traps' the reader, minutes become hours of pure enjoyment.
I just love this book. It has amazing photographs of a variety of Noritake items that I currently collect. It's an amazing reference for when I go to purchase more pieces of Noritake or for listing some of my own pieces on eBay. The only drawback is that like so many collector books out there, it can only hold so much information, and not all of my items are included in this book. But at least I can get an idea from what they do list as to what my item might be worth. I'm always on the lookout for the most recent value books on items that I collect, and this one was right on the money. I encourage everyone who collects Noritake china pieces, and not just their dinnerware, to purchase this book. It's a valuable resource.
