I had a HTC Wildfire S but the internal memory was very limited so I wanted something with a little more storage space. It is very easy to use (only 1 button) and the sound quality from the iPod is very good but many features, I feel, are lacking the 'changeable' options of an Android phone i.e. tones (etc). Some people will argue that most of these things are available on the iTunes Store...I will argue that I pay enough for my phone contract each month without having to pay for apps/ringtones/wallpapers which most Android phones offer for FREE!?! The problem is well documented that with Apple products you are 'tied-in' to using Apple software and sync-ing everything through iTunes. This is a problem for me as I, like many out there, like to use...ahem...'external programs' for films and music which can cause compatability issues when transfering to the iPhone!?! It is also MUCH slower than my Wildfire S and I 'should' have done more research on it as I am now pining for my old HTC and some of the features it had! My best mate has been raving about his iPhone for years now but, after buying one, I can't really see the attraction over any other smart phone on the market (with a similar spec). I hear that the iPhone 4S is fantastic AND super quick but I am not prepared to get a £40/24month contract OR pay £400 for one! I would personally NEVER buy another iPhone again, I would opt for a HTC or Samsung instead. I think that the hype FAR outweighs the functonality and performance of the iPhone and it's success is greatly dependant on clever marketing making it the 'must have' gadget!? I see similarities from many years ago with other formats such as VHS, does anybody remember Betamax...No?...exactly! Another better quality product being done over by the right marketing! Overall - if you're TOTALLY legit then an iPhone is probably for you, if not then steer WELL clear of the Apple marketing 'machine'!?!Read full review

I bought this for use with a PAYG SIM. I needed a knockabout phone that wouldn't matter if it got lost or damaged when on out door activities. This phone fits the bill perfectly. The operating system is still easy to use as is the phone itself. In fact I still prefer iOS6 to the later versions. All my favourite apps work, and it links to my other iphone, iPad and Mac. I just have to remember to charge it up every night.

After a lot of hype and the purchase of an Ipad (after even more hype) i purchased an Iphone 3gs. This was to see what all the fuss was about and i admit i am impressed with this phone. It has many good features and is great when connecting with other apple devices. The Itunes is great as it backs up all your apps and other info you wish it to. The downside for me is that its too much money. It also suffers with loss of signal quite often and i seem to have to reboot the phone as it keeps switching itself off and on and is unable to operate. Lastly the battery life on these are poor (even if you switch all features off, which is daft as thats why i bought the phone ?!) I believe these are common issues on all Iphones and this was the reason i only stumped up to buy the 3gs rather than blow all my money on the Iphone 4s to find out it too still suffers with faults which i find confusing as they have moved on with the phone technology but forgot the basics. If apple ever iron out these relatively minor but annoying issues then they have cracked it but until then im sorry i think the market place is open to competition and when something or someone rivals apple i will have to remind them "i told you so" and you had your opportunity but you just took our money! The apple Iphone is the best phone in the world.."probably"Read full review
I got this phone as was looking for a reliable phone as had problems with one phone keep turning off and not being able to use, got another phone and fell in a cup of tea within a month of having it. Phone is not to bad but needs charging every couple of days and have since found out the charger is a fake apple one so having problems charging phone up, got an apple charger yesterday for £15 as man in apple shop said thats what I needed, still having trouble charging phone up. Not a happy bunny............
