I wanted a laptop for tasks that you just cannot do on a tablet. My old Lenovo was gasping it’s last breath, so I looked for a good used option to save some money. I have the iPad Air and like the Apple infrastructure so I looked for an Apple product I could afford. This fit the bill so well, I ordered two so everybody in the house would have their own. It is used, so the condition wasn’t perfect, but it isn’t noticeable and didn’t impact how it worked. It works great.

$145 is a great price for this little laptop, but it does NOT run well on OSX Sierra!!! I spent another $100 on max RAM and a 250GB SSD to replace the HD. Then I downgraded the OS to Lion and now this thing flies at max speed! Any buyer should know their stuff, this machine will NOT work right out of the box. Also OSX 10.7 -10.10 might make your mac run faster, but severely restrict mobile integration. Like iCloud, airdrop, iTunes, photos etc.

What else can I say except that apple maker must be aliens because this little thing is bad ass! It's light, that's what I thought laptops were supposed to be like, and whomever says they can't convert to an apple because of the pc thing, you've lost your mind, if you can use your iphone you can use one of these, everything is much much simpler and nothing ever gets messed up on these bad boys. Every PC I've EVER owned has probably lasted MAX 5 years and during the time, I've probably had to upgrade stuff, and I've always had problems with them. Never again will I go over to a PC, I remember when I bought my first apple product the guy told me it was like crack, and that the iphone is the gate way drug to apples other products, and sure enough I have EVERYTHING apple makes.
The MacBook Air is quite an amazing laptop. It is literally as thin as my iPhone 4, and as always, is a beautifully made product from Apple. Some of my favorite features about this model are the thinness (you can literally fit it in a large padded flat rate envelope), the backlit keyboard, and the beauty of the design. I found a few things lacking in in this laptop. I really didn't like having only 1 USB port, and the hard drive was way to small for my vast music library, and the processor was a bit slow for my taste. I found that not having a CD/DVD drive wasn't a problem, a lot of programs today are moving to digital online downloads. Coming down to the bottom line though, unless you just really really like this model, I would save your money for a and equivalent MacBook Pro for the year, or buy the newest MacBook Air, which has a much better processor, hard drive, and battery. Do your research on other MacBooks before buying this one, I think in the long run you would be happier with a newer MacBook Air or a 13 inch MacBook Pro.Read full review
As a seminar facilitator, I needed a computer that was light weight primarily. This laptop definitely fits that description. In addition, I was tired of looking at the tiny screen of my Acer. With the beautiful, big display of the MacBook Air, I can do everything I do on my iMac at home. I did get a USB extended since there's only one port; that was imperative. The sound is perfect for music in a small presentation room although I have a tiny external speaker for bigger rooms which connects right into the headphone port. Compact, powerful and beautiful. I love it.
